We record the mileage we travel as part of our day to day business activity and work out what that equates to in CO2 tonnes:
Based on the level of CO2 generated by vehicle emissions,
we then pledge sufficient funds to a scheme to plant trees locally in Berkshire that ensures the same quantity of carbon is absorbed over the trees lifetime, and then we add the
same amount again.
Current figures (16/9/08) - CO2 tonnes generated = 0.33
Average absorbtion of CO2 per tree over 100 yr lifespan = 730kg
